As I sit here with just over 7 weeks until we leave on the trip of a lifetime, I am trying to coordinate get togethers and play dates with as many people as possible! But it seems near impossible! With two months left here before we climb aboard our home on wheels and live in a small space, it seems like the list of things to do, people to see, and shifts to work is slightly daunting. But then I think about it and realize that all that matters is we have each other. That is pretty much our family motto. No matter where in the world we are, as long as we have each other (and favorite green blankie and puppy of course) we are always home. Our family is our home.
Of course I want to see all our friends and spend endless hours chatting, laughing, having some wine, and making amazing memories. But in the end I know that no matter what, I will always have my bestie at my side. My lover, my partner in crime, my everything. And all we need is our family. Yes, yes I know we need money. We need to pay for our kids' RESP's, pay bills and have money to live and provide for our kiddos. That is a fact of life. But other than that, all the materialistic things (like our big TV, mountains of toys, and gadgets for the kitchen) are really inconsequential and unnecessary.
